Overview
Cupping therapy is an ancient practice that uses suction to stimulate blood flow and relieve deep muscular tension. By creating a vacuum inside glass or silicone cups placed on the skin, we draw out metabolic waste and bring fresh, oxygenated blood to stagnant tissues.
What to Expect
The cups are placed on specific areas, usually the back, and left for 5-15 minutes. You will feel a strong suction sensation, which most find pleasantly intense. Note that cupping can leave temporary circular marks on the skin, which are not bruises and typically fade within a few days.
Is this right for you?
Cupping is excellent for athletes, those with sedentary desk jobs causing back/neck tension, and anyone feeling physically 'heavy' or stagnant.
